Rocky, wide walking trail with a stunning view at the top.

If you are moderately fit or hike a bit then this is an easy trail albeit somewhat boring on the logging road but the views are definitely worth it. Keep to the left, really easy to follow. I completed in 1h 45m.

[Note: Contrary to what Google Maps displays, this trail is NOT permanently closed.]

I went today, Dec. 31, 2021, and it was spectacular. The trail is just an old logging road so views along the way aren’t too impressive. However, at the top, you’re treated to a stunning display of the surrounding lakes and mountains.

Many people had snowshoes but regular hiking boots were fine. It took me about an hour and 20 minutes to reach the top — about 25 minutes longer than when I went back in the fall.

Absolutely beautiful! We did hear some weird repetitive mechanical moaning noises on the way back and got scared though, has anyone else heard them?

Perfect if you go early morning. After 10:00 it gets busy.

Went up on Dec. 24, 2020 and there was gravel, dirt, snow and ice. We wore crampons on our hiking shoes, which was great. My friend wore runners and he seemed fine, but I was happy wearing my crampons. View is spectacular. Didn't time it, but I think it took 2.5 hrs including a lunch break at the top. IT's basically a road going up all the way to the top and down all the way back. Because the view is so beautiful I could be talked into going again, but there are a lot of other hikes I prefer.

Nice easy hike, we went at a pretty steady pace and it took 1:45 (not including a stop at the top for photos).

Did this hike Saturday, August 15, 2020. The trail is just a gravel road but the view from the top is worth it. Took us 3-hours which included sitting at the top for half an hour. The instructions were spot on, make sure to go left at each junction in the road and you'll get there.
