Tenderfoot Boogie Squamish to Whistler

This is an epic race that includes 3 distances, the 50 mile ultra, 50K or 28K. The race starts at sea level and finishes at 2400 ft, with amazing views of the surrounding rivers and canyons. Finish line is at Meadow Park.

Seek the Peak

This is a 13K course that includes the quad busting Grouse Grind that you can tackle on your own or in relay teams of four. The race starts from Ambleside Park and ends at the Peak of Vancouver, with funds being raised for the BC Cancer Foundation in support of breast cancer treatment.

Canada Day Rock 5/10K

Register for the 10K, 5K, or enter your children into the kid's run at this Canada Day event. Course will be a loop of approximately 200m. Medals will be given to the top male and female runners, and participants will receive a souvenir t shirt and pancake breakfast. Register online.

Run Canada Day 5/10K

This is an annual Canada Day 5/10K run, 1K Kids run and seniors walk. The race will take place on the trails of Pacific Spirit Park. Post race refreshments will be provided as well as a Canada Day cake.

Tynehead 5, 8 and 12 Hour

This race takes a scenic route in a 4K loop around Tynehead Park, and this race features a 5, 8, and 12 hour option. Participants will receive a finishers prize.

Knee Knackering North Shore Trail Run

The knee knacker is aptly named, as the course is 30 miles and has an elevation gain of 16,000 feet. Definitely not one for the faint of heart. Donations will be collected by runners and teams to the North Shore Search and Rescue.

5 Peaks Cypress Mountain Race

The 4th race of the year for the 5 Peaks running series, the Sports course is 6-8K, and the Enduro course is 10-12K. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age category at all distances, as well as top 3 male and female finishers overall.

Summerfast 10K Race

The Summerfast 10K is a flat, scenic course through Stanley Park and along the Seawall, and features a post race brunch with fruit, baked goods, coffee and beverages for participants after the race. Medals for the top 3 in each age category.

Jog for the Bog

Jog for the Bog is a chip timed event that is a 5k walk/run or a 10k run. The event also celebrates International Bog Day, and all proceeds go to the Burns Bog Conservation Society's education programs, Delta Nature Reserve upkeep, and environmental awareness campaigns. After the race, there will also be live music, peformances, displays, and vendors. Register and start collecting pledges!

MEC Vancouver: Road Race FIVE

MEC Vancouver: Road Race FIVE is the fifth of six events in the 2018 MEC Vancouver Road Race Series offering. Join us on July 22nd for the race that is aimed to get some dirt under those shoes and for those who are all about getting active and staying fit. For only $15 you can choose 5K or 10K race along the scenic Foreshore Trail from Riverfront Park. Runners will experience a fun and welcoming race atmosphere complete with professional chip timing and complimentary coffee, tea and fresh fruit.

Distances for this race include a 15K short course, 50K ultra course and a 2 person relay race. The course is a very challenging and technical one and is geared towards strong mountain runners.

Annual Gibsons Sea Cavalcade Mile

This is a short race but great family event by the sea. The course features no turns and is mainly downhill or flat. $100 each for top male and female runners and a $50 time bonus. Register up to day of race, parade to follow on route.

MEC Vancouver: Trail Race FOUR

MEC Vancouver: Trail Race FOUR is the fourth of six events in the 2018 MEC Vancouver Trail Race Series offering. Join us on July 28th for the race that is aimed at all those who want to seek out a fun new running location, getting on the trails and who are all about getting active and staying fit. For only $15 you can choose between a 5K or 10K race, in beautiful Squamish where runners can enjoy the lush nature along the Sea to Sky! Runners will experience a fun and welcoming race atmosphere complete with professional chip timing and complimentary coffee, tea and fresh fruit.

Squamish Days 8K

The Squamish Days 8K is the 10th race in the Lifestages Lower Mainland Road Race Series and is a fast, flat route on a paved shoulder that has minimal traffic and is friendly for wheelchair participants. Medals are awarded to the top 3 finishers, and there is also a stroller division available. No walkers, all racers must finish within 80 minutes.

Fat Dog 120 Trail Race

Fat Dog is an ultra race that has been listed as one of the top 9 toughest ultras by Outside Online. There are 3 different start points and routes, with the toughest (the 48 hour 120 mile) having an elevation gain just under that of Everest. Definitely not for beginners, the routes feature stunning views through 3 provincial parks.

Four Lakes 10K Garden Bay

This 10K run takes place on BC's Sunshine Coast, and starts and finishes at Katherine Lake Park in Pender Harbour. The route features gorgeous lake views and long shady sections, and there is also a 3K Family Fun Run/Walk.

Ultra Night Run

Sign up for the 5/10K walk or run in this chip timed race. Routes are lighted by neon lights, and all runners are required to wear an LED headlight. The race is sponsored by Michelob and all participants must be of legal drinking age, with a beer garden at the end of the race.

5 Peaks Whistler Blackcomb Race

The 5 Peaks running series is famous for great climbs and fast descents, and Blackcomb mountain is a great venue for this type of race. Choose from the 6.5k Sport course or the 10.6k Enduro course both of which travel by Blackcomb Lake. There is also a 1k Children's challenge and a 3k timed kids race. Please note that you will need a gondola pass.

Run the Rock Marathon, Half & 8K - Texada Island

The marathon course is a loop course starting and finishing at Shelter Point Regional Park, and the half marathon is a point to point route along the second half of the marathon route. The course will run on the road with no road closures in effect but RCMP will be present. Proceeds will go towards cancer support for residents of Texada. Register online.

Annual Coho Run

This 14K race features many of Vancouver's iconic landmarks such as English Bay, the Seawall, Lions Gate Bridge, and Ambleside Beach. The distance is a great challenge for a 10K runner and a great training run for the half marathon runner. At the finish line participants will have the chance to join in the annual Coho Festival celebrating the return of the Coho Salmon to the North Shore. Activities at the Festival include environmental displays, visual arts exhibitions, entertainment and the famous Salmon Barbecue.

Chilliwack Moves

Chilliwack Moves - A Run for Prevention - is dedicated to raising awareness about preventative health by having local health and wellness experts available after the run to provide free tips and education. The run itself will be a 5km and an 8km route located at the Chilliwack Rotary Trail.

Vancouver East Side 10K

This course runs through various streets on a loop around Vancouver's East Side. Because of the City of Vancouver 2 hour time limit on road closures, participants are asked not to enter if they cannot finish the race within the time restriction. Proceeds go towards the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre, Watari Counselling & Support, and the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. This is a Canada Running Series Event.

Frosty Mountain Ultra Trail Race 13/17/50K

There are 3 race distances for the Frosty Mountain Ultra, the 13K Lightning race, the 27K Endurance race, and the 50K Ultra race, ranging from one loop around Lightning Lake to the Ultra one loop two mountain run. Winners for each age group will win a bottle of wine.

Spartan Vancouver Sprint/Super Weekend

Spartan Sprint is a highly challenging sprint/obstacle course with over 5K with 20-23 obstacles along the way. The fastest finish time will be around 30 minutes, and over an hour for the slowest. For those who want even more of a challenge, you can sign up for the 8K Super Race, or the HH12HR 12 hour race. Kids can sign up for the Spartan Junior portion of the race.

Sea Wheeze Half Marathon

The Sea Wheeze is designed to be not only a run, but a fun filled weekend where participants also get to explore Vancouver, spend time with friends and family, and practise yoga oceanside. The route runs from Stanley Park to False Creek, with hills to test endurance and flat and downhill terrain to build up speed.

Whistler Alpine Meadows

This is a trail race on recently opened up terrain where runners will be able to see views of alpine meadows, waterfalls, and beautiful mountain views. The trail leads to a glacier and back and the race will be run in 12, 25, and 55K distances.

Vancouver Spirit Run

Come join this one day cross country and trail running event, with 6 or 8K distances and shorter distances for kids with age categories. The run aims to foster healthy communities in the lower mainland and provides funds to BC athletics through charitable donations. In tribute to Frank Reynolds who was a coach with the Norwesters Track and Field Club.

CIBC Run for the Cure

CIBC's Run for the Cure is hosted by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Walk or run the 1K or 5K route, and raise funds for this event which is the largest single day volunteer led event in Canada in support of a cure for breast cancer. Check the website for locations near your city.

MEC Vancouver: Road Race SIX

MEC Vancouver: Road Race SIX is the final race of six events in the 2018 MEC Vancouver Road Race Series offering. Join us on July 22nd for the race that is aimed to get some dirt under those shoes and for those who are all about getting active and staying fit. For only $15 you can choose 5K or 10K race, for $20 a 21.1K race, and for only $25 a 42.2K race along the scenic dyke in Steveston. Runners will experience a fun and welcoming race atmosphere complete with professional chip timing and complimentary coffee, tea and fresh fruit.

MEC Lower Mainland: Trail Race SIX is the final race of six events in the 2018 MEC Vancouver Trail Race Series offering. Granville Island Turkey Trot

The Granville Island Turkey Trot is a scenic and flat 10K course that starts on Granville Island and loops over the Burrard Bridge to the north side Sea Wall and turns back to end at Performance Works on Granville Island where runners will enjoy a post run meal. Run, walk or stroll the 10K course for thanksgiving, and spend time with family while supporting the food bank during one of the most organized, scenic, flat and friendly events in Vancouver

Whister 50 Relay & Ultra

This annual event can be completed as an 2, 4, or 8-person 50 mile relay race or a solo ultra-marathon, centred around Whistler Village and the Valley Trail system. 8 person relay legs alternate between 13K and 7K, and 2 and 4 person relay teams alternate with 20k legs. The course is traffic free with minimal road crossings. Approximately 13km of each loop is on a paved trail, and the remaining 7K are on wide, hard packed gravel trails, and no major climbs or descents. The trails will also be open to the public on race day. A portion of the proceeds will go towards supporting local food banks.

Around the Lake Give'r Take 30 Race

This 30K race (give or take) or 2 person relay (16k/14k) loops around Cultus Lake starting at Main Beach. Garments will be given to the first 250 participants, and medals will be awarded to all participants who complete the 30K solo course. The race will be timed with Champion Chip timing. No race day registration.

Attendees will find anything from outerwear and eyewear to snowboards and other active gear. Originally attracting mostly west coast businesses, the expo now includes many brands from the east coast as well.

Shoppers Drug Mart Run For Women

The Shoppers Drug Run for Women is about sisterhood and how our friends make us laugh, motivate us, and keep us going! The run in Vancouver takes place on Mother's Day and there is a 10k, 5k and 1k little girls run. The race is in support of BC Women's Hospital and includes some great swag bags and also victory bags with goodies along with jewelry and a race shirt.
