Ultra Night Run
Sign up for the 5/10K walk or run in this chip timed race. Routes are lighted by neon lights, and all runners are required to wear an LED headlight. The race is sponsored by Michelob and all participants must be of legal drinking age, with a beer garden at the end of the race.
Frosty Mountain Ultra Trail Race 13/17/50K
There are 3 race distances for the Frosty Mountain Ultra, the 13K Lightning race, the 27K Endurance race, and the 50K Ultra race, ranging from one loop around Lightning Lake to the Ultra one loop two mountain run. Winners for each age group will win a bottle of wine.

Terry Fox Run
The Terry Fox Run takes place all over Canada and other parts of the world, and raises money through donations for cancer research through the Terry Fox Foundation. Visit the link to find a run site for your area and look for volunteer opportunities.

Vancouver Spirit Run
Come join this one day cross country and trail running event, with 6 or 8K distances and shorter distances for kids with age categories. The run aims to foster healthy communities in the lower mainland and provides funds to BC athletics through charitable donations. In tribute to Frank Reynolds who was a coach with the Norwesters Track and Field Club.

Vancouver East Side 10K
The Under Armour Eastside 10k starts and finishes on Cordova street beside Woodward's. Because there is a 1h45m time limit on road closures from the City of Vancouver, participants are asked to keep this in mind before registering for the race.

Whister 50 Relay & Ultra
This annual event can be completed as an 2, 4, or 8-person 50 mile relay race or a solo ultra-marathon, centred around Whistler Village and the Valley Trail system. 8 person relay legs alternate between 13K and 7K, and 2 and 4 person relay teams alternate with 20k legs. This year there is a new 50K distance for solo ultra marathon runners! The course is traffic free with minimal road crossings. Approximately 13km of each loop is on a paved trail, and the remaining 7K are on wide, hard packed gravel trails, and no major climbs or descents. The trails will also be open to the public on race day. A portion of the proceeds will go towards supporting local food banks.

CIBC Run for the Cure
CIBC's Run for the Cure is hosted by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Walk or run the 1K or 5K route, and raise funds for this event which is the largest single day volunteer led event in Canada in support of a cure for breast cancer. Check the website for locations near your city.

Around the Lake Give'r Take 30 Race
This 30K race (give or take) or 2 person relay (16k/14k) loops around Cultus Lake starting at Main Beach. Garments will be given to the first 250 participants, and medals will be awarded to all participants who complete the 30K solo course. The race will be timed with Champion Chip timing. Both solo and relay races are now sold out.

Try Events Rubber Ducky Half
Circle beautiful Burnaby Lake in this 21.1k & 7 mile course and support the Canucks Autism Network. Medals will be given to the top 3 overall runners, and there will be a by donation Pancake Breakfast to support CAN.

Strachan Hartley 5/10K Legacy Run
Runners, walkers, families, competitive runners and corporate teams of all abilities are all welcome at this 5/10K run. Proceeds go towards making a difference in the lives of youth, and continue the legacy of Dr. Strachan Hartley. Register online or in person on race day.

Hallow's Eve Marathon
This is an annual Hallow's Eve Race, with marathon, half marathon, and 10K races. The courses are challenging, and to up the scary factor there will be awards for best and worst costume, so bring your game face (or scary face, whichever is easier to run in).

Try Events Boundary Bay Marathon
This is the last Boston Qualifying course of the year, and features a flat course with no hills on a gravel ocean side trail. Participate in the full marathon, marathon relay, half marathon walk/run, or 5/10K walk/run. Medals will be given for all 3 top males and females in each distance category, and the race supports Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Phantom Run Trail Race
Run the 12K, 19K, or 24K trails, or walk the 3/6K trail to fundraise. All proceeds go towards North Shore Rescue as well as the Food Bank. Runners are encouraged to dress warmly and be prepared for changing weather. There are technical and non-technical trails, and some steep descents, with a soup potluck waiting at the end.

Vancouver Historic Half
The half marathon, 10K and 5K races are on a loop around the Seawall (the half is a double loop), and all distances receive a finishing medal. Awards are given to top 3 males and females in each age category, and participants will receive a souvenir t shirt as well as a finishing medal. The race supports the West End Coat Harbour Community Policing Centre.
