What happened to the native rabbit species common to this area. As you walk along the trail going south just before the concession building there used to be a lot of wild rabbits but no this year!

I gave this 5stars because I do this hike on the daily with my 2 year old son & he enjoys it as this trail is great for jogging with a stroller. Not hard at all and super peaceful with great views of the water. We park and start by the small little corner parking lot just past the golf course. The trail ends at Centennial Beach which is another reason we love this walk. We usually play on the playground at Centennial Beach and then head out on the beach which is great to walk during the low tide! Lots of seashells, little crabs during low tide, it's cute for the kids to play with. There's also a cafe at Centennial Beach to enjoy but they're usually not open too late...4pm close I think but maybe later for summer?
We see lots of people on this trail because it's quite popular as it's easy enough that anyone can do it! And again, can't beat those views!
Also, lots of eagles flying around as well as ducks! Great quick hike!

What a great walk along the beach. One of my favorite beaches when the wather is right. On one side you can see the city of Vancouver, all the mountains on the other side is a big and snowy white Baker mt. Trail itself isn't as nice as the walk along the beach.

Have moved away from South Delta but
my heart easily moves there with lots
of nostalgia.
Very, very pretty with Nature's Best
scenery and ocean views..Boundary Bay
and North shore Mts. plus Mt. Baker to
the SE horizon.
Out walked two German Shepherd dogs here,
Thor and Oscar; they loved the beaches
and the trails over the dunes. Also,
meeting other dogs and pets.
Keep watch over this jewel of a park and
outdoor treasure! It never leaves you.
Thank you park helpers and workers.. You
do so much for our hearts and minds.

This area was very interesting albeit pretty quiet in the wildlife department. We were hoping to see more birds. I'm not sure if that is because of the time of year or because they were removing an invasive plant species that day and making a lot of noise with chainsaws and a wood chipping machine.
This walk reminded me a lot of where I'm from in the prairies of Alberta, minue the ocean of course ;)

Be nice if there was a detailed map of the inner trails.
