BMO Vancouver Marathon Health, Sports & Lifestyle Expo


The expo, running during the Vancouver Marathon weekend, will be the hub for runners where they can pick up their marathon gear such as bibs, timings chips, etc before the race. Exhibitors will also be showcasing products and services, and admission is free to the public.

5 Peaks Golden Ears Race


The 2nd race of the year in the 5 Peaks Running Series, The Sports course is 8.5K while the Enduro course is 13K. There are also Childrens Challenge (1K) and Kids (3K) races. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each category as well as top 3 male and female finishers overall. This is a cup free event so please bring your reusable containers.

BMO Vancouver Marathon


The BMO Vancouver Marathon is one of the top destination marathons in the world, and runs through Vancouver's downtown and past some of the city's most iconic landmarks. Join the full marathon, half marathon, 8K run, or enter your kids in the 1mile kids fun run. The marathon raises funds for RUN4HOPE, the marathon's official charity program, and go towards social impact and community good, and benefiting various national and community charities.

Spartan Vancouver Sprint/Super Weekend


Spartan Sprint is a highly challenging sprint/obstacle course with over 5K with 20-23 obstacles along the way. The fastest finish time will be around 30 minutes, and over an hour for the slowest. For those who want even more of a challenge, you can sign up for the 8K Super Race, or the HH12HR 12 hour race. Kids can sign up for the Spartan Junior portion of the race.

Survival of the Fittest


Choose from a 18 or 35K race, as well as a kids race for the young ones. The course will be a loop in the Quest University Lands, and features fantastic views of the valley and mountains.

Iron Knee Tender Knee Trail Race


Starting in Cleveland Park, this race finishes on the beautiful shores of Deep Cove. The race includes some great trails leading up to the challenging Powerline Climb.

Annual Abbotsford Police Challenge Run


The Abbotsford PD Challenge Run consts of a 10k course designed to test your endurance, while the 5k fun run is a single flat loop. Medals are awarded to the top male and female in each category. Runners, walkers, wheelchairs and strollers all welcome.

Scotiabank MS Walk


This walk is in support of the MS Society, and participants can choose from a 2 or 5K route. The route is accessible to wheelchairs, scooters and strollers, as well as dog friendly! The walk is held in multiple cities in Canada so check the website for the walk nearest you.

Whistler Half Marathon


Described as 'Canada's most scenic half marathon', this course winds around Whistler Valley and goes along a number of neighbourhoods and parks along the way. Participants can sign up for the 21.1K marathon 10K, 5K or the 1K kids run. Proceeds go to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.

RBC Race for the Kids


At RBC Race for the Kids, runners and walkers of all ages and abilities will participate in either a scenic 5k route or a 2k fun run, followed by a carnival celebration with healthy snacks and activities for the whole family.BC Children's Hospital Foundation's signature running event has raised over $14 million since it began in 1986. Funds raised through the 2019 event will support childhood cancer programs and research as well as mental health initiatives.We're calling on everyone to join the fun - whether on your own or on a team with your family, colleagues or classmates. Together, we can reach this year's goal of $1 million to help kids across the province.

Seek the Peak


This is a 13K course that includes the quad busting Grouse Grind that you can tackle on your own or in relay teams of four. The race starts from Ambleside Park and ends at the Peak of Vancouver, with funds being raised for the BC Cancer Foundation in support of breast cancer treatment.

Multi Grouse Grind Challenge


This event is the official event to determine the official multiple Grouse Grind Challenge record holder. Particpants must raise at least $200 for BC Children's Hospital Foundation as well as fit the other criteria. Please see site for more details.

Vancouver Half-Marathon and 5K


The 5K run/walk starts at the Stanley Park Fish House, while the Half-Marathon starts at the Thunderbird Stadium and a shuttle bus will bring participants back to UBC free of charge. Participants can collect pledges for one of the 70+ charitable partners for this Canada Running Series event.

First time on the trails, no problem as we will be having FREE orientation evening runs from the UBC Running Room.

Canada Day Rock 5/10K


Register for the 10K, 5K, or enter your children into the kid's run at this Canada Day event. Course will be a loop of approximately 200m. Souvenir finishing medals will be given, as well as after even snacks and random prizes. The race supports the Surrey Urban Mission Society.

Summerfast 10K Race


The Summerfast 10K is a flat, scenic course through Stanley Park and along the Seawall, and features a post race brunch with fruit, baked goods, coffee and beverages for participants after the race. Medals for the top 3 in each age category.

Knee Knackering North Shore Trail Run


The knee knacker is aptly named, as the course is 48km (30 miles) and has an elevation gain of 4,877 metres (16,000 feet). Definitely not one for the faint of heart. Donations will be collected by runners and teams to the North Shore Search and Rescue.

5 Peaks Cypress Mountain Race


The 4th race of the year for the 5 Peaks running series includes a 6.5k sports course, 11k enduro course, 3k timed kids' race, and 1k children's challenge. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age category at all distances, as well as top 3 male and female finishers overall.

Buckin' Hell


Distances for this race include a 15K short course, 50K ultra course and a 2 person relay race. The course is a very challenging and technical one and is geared towards strong mountain runners.

Chilliwack Fair Donut Dash


This is a 4 or 8k race at the Chilliwack Fair, which includes a Beer Maze! A great way to get involved in the community and gain free entrance to the fair, and support Chilliwack Agricultural Society at the same time. Win your weight in beer or root beer in the Beer Maze!

Fat Dog 120 Trail Race


Fat Dog is an ultra race that has been listed as one of the top 9 toughest ultras by Outside Online. There are 3 different start points and routes, with the toughest (the 48 hour 120 mile) having an elevation gain just under that of Everest. Definitely not for beginners, the routes feature stunning views through 3 provincial parks.

Sea Wheeze Half Marathon


The Sea Wheeze is designed to be not only a run, but a fun filled weekend where participants also get to explore Vancouver, spend time with friends and family, and practise yoga oceanside. The route runs from Stanley Park to False Creek, with hills to test endurance and flat and downhill terrain to build up speed.

Paavo Nurmi Run


This race is named after Paavo Nurmi, considered one of the greatest runners of all time and nicknamed the 'Flying Finn'. The route goes around Burnaby Lake Park and participants can enter the 10K, 5K, or 3K races.

5 Peaks Whistler Blackcomb Race


The 5 Peaks running series is famous for great climbs and fast descents, and Blackcomb mountain is a great venue for this type of race. Choose from the 6.5k Sport course or the 10.6k Enduro course both of which travel by Blackcomb Lake. There is also a 1k Children's challenge and a 3k timed kids race. Please note that you will need a gondola pass.

Frosty Mountain Ultra Trail Race 13/17/50K


There are 3 race distances for the Frosty Mountain Ultra, the 13K Lightning race, the 27K Endurance race, and the 50K Ultra race, ranging from one loop around Lightning Lake to the Ultra one loop two mountain run. Winners for each age group will win a bottle of wine.

Rubble Creek Classic


This race starts at the Cheakamus Lake Trail with a steep climb up the Helm Lake Trail. It is a very scenic route that goes through the Cinder Flats and Taylor Meadows before taking a steep descent into the Garibaldi Lake Trail parking lot. The race is approximately 24K, and is a completely self sufficient event with no aid stations or water on the course, so please go prepared and know what your body is capable of.

5 Peaks Mt Seymour


This is the 3rd race of the 5 Peaks Running Series, held on Mt Seymour and including a 6k sports course, 10k enduro course, 3k timed kids' race and 1k children's challenge. The course features great views of the back country as well as views of Vancouver.

Vancouver East Side 10K


The Under Armour Eastside 10k starts and finishes on Cordova street beside Woodward's. Because there is a 1h45m time limit on road closures from the City of Vancouver, participants are asked to keep this in mind before registering for the race.

Whister 50 Relay & Ultra


This annual event can be completed as an 2, 4, or 8-person 50 mile relay race or a solo ultra-marathon, centred around Whistler Village and the Valley Trail system. 8 person relay legs alternate between 13K and 7K, and 2 and 4 person relay teams alternate with 20k legs. This year there is a new 50K distance for solo ultra marathon runners! The course is traffic free with minimal road crossings. Approximately 13km of each loop is on a paved trail, and the remaining 7K are on wide, hard packed gravel trails, and no major climbs or descents. The trails will also be open to the public on race day. A portion of the proceeds will go towards supporting local food banks.

CIBC Run for the Cure


CIBC's Run for the Cure is hosted by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Walk or run the 1K or 5K route, and raise funds for this event which is the largest single day volunteer led event in Canada in support of a cure for breast cancer. Check the website for locations near your city.

Granville Island Turkey Trot


The Granville Island Turkey Trot is a scenic and flat 10K course that starts on Granville Island and loops over the Burrard Bridge to the north side Sea Wall and turns back to end at Performance Works on Granville Island where runners will enjoy a post run meal. Run, walk or stroll the 10K course for thanksgiving, and spend time with family while supporting the food bank during one of the most organized, scenic, flat and friendly events in Vancouver

Try Events Rubber Ducky Half


Circle beautiful Burnaby Lake in this 21.1k & 7 mile course and support the Canucks Autism Network. Medals will be given to the top 3 overall runners, and there will be a by donation Pancake Breakfast to support CAN.

Hallow's Eve Marathon


This is an annual Hallow's Eve Race, with marathon, half marathon, and 10K races. The courses are challenging, and to up the scary factor there will be awards for best and worst costume, so bring your game face (or scary face, whichever is easier to run in).

Try Events Boundary Bay Marathon


This is the last Boston Qualifying course of the year, and features a flat course with no hills on a gravel ocean side trail. Participate in the full marathon, marathon relay, half marathon walk/run, or 5/10K walk/run. Medals will be given for all 3 top males and females in each distance category, and the race supports Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Phantom Run Trail Race


Run the 12K, 19K, or 24K trails, or walk the 3/6K trail to fundraise. All proceeds go towards North Shore Rescue as well as the Food Bank. Runners are encouraged to dress warmly and be prepared for changing weather. There are technical and non-technical trails, and some steep descents, with a soup potluck waiting at the end.

Vancouver Historic Half


The half marathon, 10K and 5K races are on a loop around the Seawall (the half is a double loop), and all distances receive a finishing medal. Awards are given to top 3 males and females in each age category, and participants will receive a souvenir t shirt as well as a finishing medal. The race supports the West End Coat Harbour Community Policing Centre.

Runners will be collecting pledges to support the Salvation Army in this 5K Fun Run or 1K Elf Walk. Enjoy music, prizes, and a complimentary chili lunch at the end of the course.
