Breathtakingly beautiful place amidst towering evergreens, waterfalls and canyon views . . . always finding a new trail to explore . . . the swimming hole is ice cold but fabulous to cool off on a hot summer day . . . suspension bridge is amazing and free! The nearby connecting Rice Lake loop trail is lovely too :-)

Hiked down to the waterfall this morning. The water is flowing nicely from all the recent rain. Both the suspension bridge and the bridge over the waterfall are open, so you can complete this hike as a loop like the description suggests.

FYI - We're visiting from the states and were all excited to spend our last day hiking this area and especially crossing the suspension bridge. Fortunately my husband re-Googled it https://lynncanyon.ca and saw this

      Bridge Deck Construction Notice
Starting September 30, 2019, the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge will be closed for maintenance and to replace the decking. Alternate pedestrian routes will be available during the construction. Please visit https://www.dnv.org/notices/lynn-canyon-bridge-maintenance-and-closure for more information. This work is anticipated to complete by late November 2019.

Ok, so there are other trails, but it's about 1 1/4 hours by bus from where we are by bus (three busses to get there). We will likely be back this way next year and probably go then.

PS I wish I didn't have to pick a star rating but you can't leave a comment without one. I am giving it less stars at the moment simply because the big draw is currently a non-starter. Happy to come back and give it a fresh rating when we return and actually do the hikes!

Steps from my backyard, it's the PERFECT place to go when you're craving to reconect with nature. Highly recommend to go on a sunny day.

Went Saturday May 11, 2019. I would rate it an easy hike to do - go over the Suspension Bridge (steps from the cafe and bathrooms) and you are maybe 15 minutes walk to Twin Falls. The mist from the falls was refreshing. Please note that as of today there is construction on the trails and you will either have to return via the same trail you came, or continue up the approx 100 steps after Twin Falls and return to the parking lot/start/cafe on a service road-which was quite nice and not too busy. Enjoy!

We were visiting Vancouver and randomly decided to take the Seabus, then randomly decided to take the 228 to Lynn Valley. We saw the Lynn Canyon on the map and just went. It was something incredible. The walk was easy, and there are several spots where you can stop and admire the rapids. The trees are gorgeous and majestic, and the Suspension bridge was the first we've been on and truly a thing to marvel. The bridge over Twin Falls felt magical. We were there later in the day on a Monday, and were basically alone on the bridge. It felt like a truly mystical and connecting experience. The sound alone will shift you to a different mindset.

I went there on 01/06/2018. It was cloudy and little rainy. However, the view was incredible, and the hike was easy and worthy!

Short, easy walk with lovely views and some impressive large trees. Gets busy on weekends and during the summer.
One of my favourite short walks!

Pretty hike, the falls aren't too large. However, it took only 30min to complete at a moderate pace.
