Camping at Rohr Lake is a backcountry camping experience and there are no facilities and limited spots. It is very important to practice Leave No Trace principals and pack out all of your waste, belongings, and minimize damage to the surrounding lake area. Campfires are discouraged due to the sensitive nature of the alpine lake and often dry conditions during summer months in the region.

The boulder field before Rohr Lake is very steep, muddy, and slippery, making it quite treacherous and even more challenging with an overnight backpack on. The area is also within grizzly bear territory, so be prepared.

Camping at Rohr Lake means not having to hike to Mount Rohr in a single day.
