I walk this frequently before work. I used to live in Maple Ridge and loved walking near the trail near Albion Park up into the neighbourhood then along the river and the rainbow bridge. The only complaint I have is that these trails should connect either under Lougheed or over a pedestrian over pass to the Kanaka Riverfront. In my opinion this is a wasted opportunity
Thx Kim

This is a lovely park with opportunities to see heron and other birds during the less busy hours. The hard gravel trail is wheelchair friendly but for those with compromised mobility who are not in wheelchairs or on motorized scooters and who do require closely spaced benches, beware the first leg, from the parking lot to the bend in the river/viewing tower. I found it a very difficult distance to that first bench, one just before the viewing tower and one just after it; by the time you get to the river there are benches galore but getting to and from the river for the less able bodied is more than I would like to try again without a sturdy walker/seat.

We love this park trail. It's easy, dog friendly and lots of places to sit by the Fraser River. Open from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. The nature walk is lovely.

Great little park, 2 observation platforms. Deer, Geese, Ducks, Blue Herons, Eagles, Ospreys, Weasels, Beavers, Otters, Rabbits, Squirrels and Chipmunks.
Easy level walking entire way. Picnic benches and washrooms.
My old camping area long before it became a public park.
