Hiked on 2017.09.16. This is another gorgeous trail in the Whistler area. The Decker Loop will gave me a good workout. Other than that, the rest of the trail was very manageable. Highly recommend this trail to anyone who doesn't mind paying for the gondola ticket. Finished the hike in about 3.5 hours (including breaks).

Amazing hike. Loved the views and the mind-blowing engineering that contributed to the construction of all the gondolas.

While I agree it is not worth the ticket fee to hike just this ONE trail, the overall experience is undoubtedly worth the cost - especially if you take all the lifts and hike the other trails that are accessible.

How much does the gondola ride cost?

Great half-day hike. You begin with a very scenic ride up the mountain enjoying the views of the valley. The hike itself is easy except for the Decker loop that is very steep. Beautiful mountain lakes and alpine flowers. Moderately crowded due to its ease of access and proximity to the village.

The hike is really easy and flat. However, I believe it is not worth it as you have to pay $60 for the lift to get up to the head of the hiking trail. The blackcomb lake is super small, more like a pond.

Do we need to take the peak to peak gondola ride to access this trail?

This was a great hike and very easy for the most part with a few rock scrambles and slightly steep sections to deal with. The lake is beautiful! We didn't continue on to the Deckar Loop section, regretfully, and missed the best views of the glacier. The rocky Alpine Walk section at the beginning was also enjoyable.
