Location: 6.7-mile out-and-back trail near Slesse Park, British Columbia.

An after work hike that called for some star gazing. As my buddy and I slogged up the mountain with 15kg of photography gear each, I envisioned our galactic core arching over the mountains.
What are you seeing in this photo? It's 25 photos stitched together to create a 180 degree panorama. My camera is modified and has no infrared filter, which is why you're able to see the vibrant hydrogen filled areas of the night sky (these areas are where stars are born).
