As the most southern-west city in the Metro Vancouver area, Tsawwassen lies on a peninsula in the southwestern corner of Delta and is the gateway city to the BC Ferry Terminal for Vancouver Island.
Bordered by the Straight of Georgia to the west and Boundary Bay to the east, Tsawwassen is home to more than a dozen parks that offer nearly every type of outdoor excursion - from easy walks to more vigorous daylong hikes.
The two-kilometre Dyke Trail at Boundary Bay Regional Park runs along the edge of the Bay and offers some impressive views of the surrounding area. Along Boundary Bay Road, you'll also find an entrance to Raptor Trail - another popular trail offering remarkable scenery. Known as a multi-purpose park, Winskill Park also features a walking trail - along with a host of other amenities (e.g., playground, aquatic centre, etc.).
