It’s pretty steep and the gravel makes it slippery coming back down so I walked on the cedar shavings along the side of the trail. It’s a real workout. Wear good hiking shoes for traction.

I hesitate to call this an “easy” trail. It is short in distance but the trail itself is very steep and we saw many people who may not have read the full description of the grade or comments, having to stop or turn around. It was certainly more challenging than expected even from a routine user of trails reviewed on this website. The views are beautiful on a nice day, I would pair this with a walk along the river, a trip to Harrison or another hike if in good shape to make the location worthwhile as it is a fair distance from anything. There is very little room to park without being on the highway and it is located right at a corner so be cautious when pulling into or out of the trailhead!

Beautiful trail. Short hike, the trail passes over Sq’ewlets First Nation. Nice storyboards, picnic tables and comfortable benches at the top to reflect and enjoy the views.
Amazing gravel trail.
