There are plenty of camping options in Golden Ears Provincial Park. The most popular campsites are located at Gold Creek, Alouette Lake, and North Beach. These sites generally fill up quickly and reservations must be made online through BC Parks.
Along the hiking trail to Golden Ears, there are 2 campsites, referred to as Walkin Backcountry Campsites. The first is at Alder Flats which is about 5km along the West Canyon Trail. This is the most popular one of the two as most people will camp here and then complete the remaining trail to Golden Ears the next day.
The second campsite is located on Panorama Ridge on the Golden Ears Trail. This is at approximately the 9km mark but requires quite a steep climb to reach the site.
Both backcountry campsites have limited facilities and campers must pre-purchase a Backcountry Camping Permit through BC Parks. Campfires are not allowed at either site.
Note: Camping is NOT allowed in the emergency shelter. This structure is for emergency purposes only.
