Pack it out — all of it. That includes apple cores, orange peels, nut shells, tissue, and dog waste bags. Organic waste takes surprisingly long to break down in our climate and attracts wildlife to trails and campsites. Bring a small dedicated trash bag or ziplock in your pack.
