What’s a good progression of beginner hikes?


A reasonable progression might be: Stanley Park Seawall (flat, 10 km) → Quarry Rock (short, 3.8 km, some stairs) → Lynn Loop (5 km, forested with uneven terrain in some parts) → Dog Mountain in summer (5 km, lots of tree roots and some rugged terrain) → St. Mark’s Summit (11 km, 460 m elevation gain) → Garibaldi Lake (18 km, 820 m gain, a fairly long hike). Each step adds distance, gain, or elevation.
