What should I know about driving to trailheads?

Popular trailheads (Joffre Lakes, Garibaldi Provincial Park, Lynn Headwaters, Cypress, Seymour) fill up early on weekends — expect to arrive by 7am on summer weekends before parking lots are full. Some popular hiking areas (notably Joffre Lakes, Garibaldi Lake, Buntzen Lake, and Golden Ears) require day-use passes in peak season. Have a backup plan in case a parking lot is full.

Never leave valuables visible in your car as trailhead theft is an ongoing issue everywhere.
