Which trails require a day-use pass or reservation?

In recent seasons, BC Parks has required free day-use passes at Joffre Lakes, Garibaldi Lake, Golden Ears, and some other high-traffic parks during peak periods. Overnight backcountry permits are required at most Provincial Parks year-round. Check the BC Parks Day-Use Pass page for the current list, as it changes season to season. Regional parks in Metro Vancouver generally do not require passes, however Buntzen Lake has required day-use passes during peak season to enter the park. Many local parks have pay parking in effect during peak season.
