What other wildlife should I be aware of?

Other regional wildlife includes coyotes (common, generally shy), wolves (rare, mostly Sunshine Coast and Sea-to-Sky), elk, deer, mountain goats (Sea-to-Sky), grouse, and in some areas ticks. In summer, expect mosquitoes, blackflies, and horseflies at higher elevations. Never feed any wildlife, including squirrels, chipmunks, and whiskey jacks — fed animals become problem animals.
