When is “hiking season” in the alpine?

For most alpine trails in the Sea-to-Sky corridor (Garibaldi Lake, Joffre Lakes, Whistler area), Chilliwack, Manning Park, and the high North Shore trails, the snow-free season runs from roughly mid-July to mid-October, with the peak wildflower bloom in late July to mid-August and larches turning gold in late September. Conditions vary year to year — a big snow year can keep the alpine snowy well into August.
