I took this photo on my way back to Elfin Lakes Campground from Opal Cone. The sun was setting, and Atwell Peak, with its striking pyramid shape rising above a remote glacial basin, was glowing in the golden-hour light. There was nothing around us but the two of us, a few marmots, and the vastness of the landscape.
