Needle Peak-Flatiron Trail
Location: The Needle Peak–Flatiron Trail is a scenic and moderately challenging hike in the Coquihalla Summit Recreation Area, located between Hope and Kamloops, British Columbia. This out-and-back trail offers hikers the flexibility to choose between two distinct objectives: the more accessible Flatiron Peak or the more demanding Needle Peak.

Golden light spills across the rugged ridges as I make my way from Needle Peak to Flatiron. The late-August sky blazes with hues of orange, pink, and lavender, casting long shadows over the alpine meadows below. The jagged peaks of the Coquihalla Range silhouette against the horizon, and a gentle breeze carries the crisp mountain air. Each step along the trail feels serene, yet exhilarating, as the sun dips behind the distant mountains, painting the entire landscape in a warm, fleeting glow.”
