The Gray Peninsula Trail begins and ends at Shell Beach, which has a stunning array of arbutus trees, eroded rock formations, and driftwood. And of course, the beach is made of beautiful pieces of shells, rather than shells. Yesterday, after walking the Gray Peninsula Trail loop with my son and uncle, we spotted a large piece of driftwood that perfectly mimicked the angle of the mountain in the background, and I just had to capture the beautiful symmetry on photograph! There was also a paddle-boarder in the distance to the left, and I wanted to include him in the frame to show the serenity and joy of experiencing Shell Beach.
