A hiker makes their way through the thick forest of the descent from Wedgemount Lake near Whistler, BC. Sunlight echoes through the hemlock and red cedar trees and illuminates the bright green of their needles and the leaves of smaller plants below. The organic soil is reddened from recent precipitation as the hiker navigates the heavily rooted forest floor.
