One of Nanaimo's little secrets! The Nanaimo River Hatchery is an active conservation site and an excellent place to explore and learn about the salmon's life cycle. The scenery around the hatchery is beautiful. You can walk along the Nanaimo River and Haslam Creek and stroll around Napoleon Pond, which has a fish ladder going from the river into the pond.
