This hike is only accessible by boat, therefore to access the trail hikers require either a water taxi hire or plan to paddle the 45 km across Great Central Lake. From there you will hike 13.5 kms along the Della Falls Trail to reach Love Lake Trail. The hike up to Love Lake is a steep 5.3km but you will be rewarded with views back to Della Falls and of Mount Septimus and Mount Rousseau behind Love Lake.
