Our second day at elfin lakes, we sat around the tent pad as golden hour passed and the sun began to set. The perfect hue of pink and orange bounced off the mountains across from us while small clouds floated in the distance. It was a moment of calm, as we all stared at the mountains feeling as if they were watching over our campsite.
