This photo was taken on a beautiful afternoon as the sun shone through the mossy branches of the forest in late winter. I had been trying to capture the light of the trees for some time, as it is difficult to do justice to the majestic forest in one photo. I find the best hiking trails are those which cause me to notice new things each time, and this part of the forest always reveals new life with each return.
