Last year was my first time seeing the golden larches, which I had only become aware of through the photography community on instagram. I couldn't believe such a beautiful phenomenon had escaped me all this time. Despite being the busiest trail I have ever seen, there were opportunities to meander among these golden trees in solitude, a term we coined "larch lurking".
