While on my first ever backcountry camping trip, I stayed up late to stargaze in the peace and quiet of the wilderness. The skies were so clear and dark that I could see Saturn and Jupiter near the horizon, the Andromeda Galaxy just above the tallest tree, and the milky way arching across the sky above my head!
