Garibaldi Lake reminds me how blessed we are to live on this blue planet. It is painful to see how we mistreat our earth daily and how careless people can be, but I have hope. I have hope that humanity can heal.
Let us begin to heal by remembering what it means to be native to the land. To live in reciprocity with the plants and other beings who sustain us. To practice gratitude for and see the land as home, rather than property to be bought and sold.
We have become detached but we can repair broken bonds. We owe it to her, our sacred mama. The one who gave us all life.
