The calm after the storm
A long night of wind and rain kept us awake, thinking our efforts to make it here were for very little reward.
I rolled over to snooze my 5am alarm and figured I’d take a glance to see any sign of a clearing. The peaks were visible and that’s all it took to spark the excitement.
We brewed some coffee and sat by the lake, watching the sun fire up the mountains as our world woke up.
