The ridge leading to the summit of Mt. Sloan is incredibly jagged, incredibly exposed, and incredibly scenic. Here my climbing partner has stopped to take in the view of three lakes that are visible during the climb: Carpenter Lake, Downton Lake, and the crystal-clear Gun Lake.
