Unnecessary Mountain has long been our favorite place to camp at the end of the summer. We usually take the HSCT from Cypress parking lot but this time we worked on an alternative solution to avoid the crowd. We started from the Lions Bay and had to hike 1400m of elevation gain in a bit more than 3km with our +20kg backpacks...
But as always we were not disappointed at the top, with our favorite camping spot and plenty of amazing views with sunset, sunrise and starry night!
Just before going to sleep I wanted to take a few night photo but never would I have imagine I would get to witness that view of the Lions surrounded by clouds lit by the Moon. It wasn't easy to go to bed after that :)
