This photo was taken on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 8:02pm. This was the first night hike I ever planned and led. There were just two of us and we had the whole of Dog Mountain to ourselves... which never happens. I chose it as my first sunset hike because it’s a trail I know very well in the daylight and in snowshoes. It’s well travelled and often crowded due to its proximity to the city and beautiful lookout. I never imagined we would have it to ourselves! An amazing private sunset on my very first sunset hike! We hiked back out in the dark wearing headlamps. I’m in the photo, photo taken by Sherry Tryssenaar.
