Mount MacFarlane Trail

Mount MacFarlane Trail

Location: Chilliwack
Photo Date: August 2019

Description:
We hiked for about 4-5 hours to get to Upper Pierce Lake which is just before the summit of Mount Macfarlane. We set up camp there and planned on finishing the hike to the summit afterwards. Majority of the guys were to tired to do the final push to the summit, but Chris and i wanted to watch the sunset. It took us 45 minutes to get from the lake to the summit of Mount MacFarlane, and once we reached the top (exhausted), the clouds completely covered us. We couldn't see a thing. There was a small break in the clouds that took place for about a minute, but that's it. The attached photo was that break in the clouds. We were happy we finished it, but still pretty bummed we couldn't see anything. I ended up doing it again the next morning by myself, and it wasn't cloudy.
