'Alpine French Press' Triple Peak, Vancouver Island
There's nothing quite like the taste of freshly pressed coffee after a night of back country camping on Vancouver Island.
While the hordes of tourists were busy clogging up the roads to Tofino on this long weekend, we headed out to Mckenzie mountain range.
Our group only bumped into three other campers and several day hikers. Other than that we had Triple Peak all to ourselves.
It was a magical night. We managed to shoot sunrise, the milky Way and sunset so little sleep was enjoyed.
Now if only the 300 welting mozzie bites would fade.......
