My boyfriend and I had planned to hike up to panorama ridge and black tusk on the weekend of Aug 13, 2016 - after almost everything going wrong (including a truck breakdown and almost not making it), we end up with a bit of a later start but decided to keep trucking on. We made it to taylor meadows to set up camp real quick and then head over to garibaldi Lake. We sat and basked in the beautiful scenery at garibaldi Lake around 5pm, trying to decide if we had time to make the hike up to Panorama Ridge. After some thought, I said - screw it let's go. We ended up at the top of Panorama Ridge at sunset with not a soul in sight. Decided to take some mountain top photos, then he got down on one knee - I not only, have this beautiful memory, but also this amazing photo that I stare at daily. This is my absolute favourite hike to date (for obvious reasons), but I still remember my breath being taken away as we finally reached the Ridge and had views of garibaldi lake. The scenery is something out of this world. Highly recommend!
