Joffre Lakes Trail
Location: This photo was taken at the last of the three lakes on the Joffre Lakes Trail. We continued along until we found a slightly less travelled nook to take this photograph!

My little sister had never seen a mountain before (we grew up in Toronto). So, when she came out to visit this summer, my boyfriend and I decided to take her out of her not-so-outdoorsy comfort zone. We drove to Joffre Lakes Trailhead on a bluebird day in July and speedily ascended the trail, navigating around terrain and dodging clusters of slow walkers with ease. It was a beautiful hike, and this photo effectively captures the humbling sentiments of the west coast mountains.
