I shot this photo (on an iPhone6s) as my husband & I made our way back to the parking lot after a great day of hiking the Eagle Bluffs. On our way down we could not help but feel happy & excited to realize that the slopes across from us (in the picture) would be covered in snow in a few months' time and we'd be skiing or riding down these slopes soon! My husband stopped to take in the view of the mountain without the snow - those slopes somehow looked surreal, and less intimidating before winter would take over; and so I captured this moment as a reminder to myself of how amazing nature can be to offer so much variety to us all year round!
