Our first hike in B.C. was a solid climb. After a morning of taking a wrong turn and bushwacking for a few miles, we retraced our steps and headed up a single-track trail that seemed promising. We were rewarded with pristine alpine lakes and no other guests -- something extremely special for a 3-day holiday weekend. This shot was of Nugget keeping guard of the tent just before we strolled up a small peak for sunset.
