This photo is from Northern BC in Gitwangak village (Kitwanga) some from as early as the 1800's, they are so old some of the carvings can barely be seen. They remain untouched and when they naturally fall to the ground they are left alone to return to the earth. If you're looking to go on a BC adventure I highly recommend exploring the North from Hazelton & Kispiox to Stewart/Hyder, Prince Rupert, and the Nisga'a lava fields.
