Panorama Ridge
Location: Whistler region
Photo Date: July 2014
Description:
Panorama Ridge is one of the most rewarding hikes in the Whistler region, leading hikers to a panoramic view of the Garibaldi lake and Black Tusk area.
I had completely ruptured the ACL in my right knee during the ski season and was too far down the waiting list to get my knee surgically repaired. Undeterred, I underwent physiotherapy and spent the summer of 2014 making several hikes including Panorama Ridge and Wedgemount Lake. In the sight of the awe-inspiring Black Tusk, I felt a strong determination to keep hiking despite my physical injury and the fear that comes from having such an injury. I hope to summit the Black Tusk again one day.
