Location: Deeks Lake, is part of the Howe Sound Crest trail system, with its own trailhead at Porteau Cove near Lions Bay along Vancouver's Sea-To-Sky.

One cloudy September weekend, my friend and I decided to try a local hike up to Deeks Lake. We ascended through lush green forests through thick fog. To our delight, the fog cleared and the sun streamed down through a gap in the tress, illuminating a jagged mossy boulder along the trail-side. My friend didn't hesitate to conquer it.
