The City of White Rock lies approximately 40 kilometres south of Vancouver, and is bordered by Semiahmoo Bay on the south and surrounded by South Surrey on three sides.

Named for its distinctive large white boulder on the city's beach, White Rock is best known for its magnificent and sheltered beaches as well as its warmer water temperatures (when compared with other northwest beaches). Though White Rock's spectacular beachfront is the city's largest draw, the area also offers lush biking and hiking trails for nearly every age and ability.

For an idyllic and leisurely stroll, try the White Rock beach promenade with its spectacular ocean vistas. Or explore the Semiahmoo Trail, which winds through verdant forest areas and along the Anderson Creek as it makes its way north to the Nicomekl River.
