We chose to have a look at Jurassic Ridge. It's surprisingly beautiful. Just follow the orange mark you will be back to the Loop Trail.

Did this trail on July 15, 2018. Immediate incline, so if your going up on a warm day drink plenty of water before hand! There was absolutely no parking when we got there at about 1pm (I know we got there too late), it was expected because of the beach area so we parked by the Britannia Beach lookout which was about a 2km (32 min) walk to Murrin Provincial Park. The hike itself was short (only took about an hour and a half total), but the first half hour and last ten mins is complete incline so brace yourself, stay hydrated well beforehand and stretch! But hang in there because the view was absolutely worth it! and the fact that we had the Quercus viewpoint to ourselves was super nice and its breathtaking! We didn't make the treck up the Jurassic Ridge Viewpoint as it was too hot and I was starting to feel light headed but definitely going to go back on a cool day to do that one as well!
And also beware of rock climbers and mosquitos (bring the bug spray)!

Good short hike that goes up to a couple viewpoints. Hike can be extended to Jurassic ridge with better views. The Jurassic ridge and Quercus Viewpoints can both be completed in 2 hours with lots of time to enjoy the view. Started at about 4pm and returned to parking at 6:30pm. There is short steep sections. It is easier to find parking after 4pm as most people are leaving. In May, sunset is after 8pm, so lots of time. Then after hike, go for dinner in Squamish and drive back to Vancouver.

This trail is nice if you're looking for a pretty short hike with big view payoff. It's definitely not a 1.5 hour hike as listed, it's more like 40 minutes total to do both the loop and walk around the lake. The view is really beautiful, and the trail wasn't too busy when we were there. There is a lot of rock climbing in the park which is interesting to see, though one thing to note is that the lake is right on the highway and the traffic noise is really loud if you're staying at the lake. The hike goes up in the woods and away from the highway, however. Limited parking is available but be warned it fills up pretty quick!

Parking is very limited but there are lookout points on either side of the lake that you can park at and double back to the starting point of this hike. This adds another 1.5k to the hike but may be your only option. The hike is much shorter than predicted. Took me about 40 minutes up, 20 minutes down. The view point turn off is relatively easy to miss so worth warning- if you find yourself going downhill and heading back out of the woods you have missed the turn and should back track till you see a post with an arrow pointing towards the view point. Spectacular view and not a busy trail gets it 4/5 stars.
