Description: The ascent up the Chief isn't an easy one. For the majority of the hike, your eyes are looking down at the trail, making sure to find proper footing as you go up. Taking a short break to catch a breath gives you the opportunity to look up and marvel at the natural beauty of the slanted rocks and the sunrays that highlight the green moss. My roommate Ben leads the way and encourages the group to keep at it as we close in on the final ascent of The Chief.
