You typically think of Joffre Lakes as having the most beautiful gatorade blue water. However, when I went on a backcountry camping trip to Upper Joffre Lake, I was surrounded by striking mountain peaks and glaciers. As the sun began to set, my eyes were glued to the orange reflection that was shining on the mountains behind our tent.
