The gondola will open at 10:30am on Friday, February 14, 2020, and there will be several festivities including live music, food and beverage samples, and much more.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind that there are winter-like conditions on the hills and anyone planning to do any hikes, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vancouvertrails.com\/trails\/sea-to-summit-trail\/\">Sea To Summit Trail<\/a>, should be well prepared with microspikes and winter gear this time of year.<\/p>\n<p>The Sea To Sky Gondola has been closed since August 10, 2019, when a vandal cut the cable in the early morning, causing the gondola cars to crash to the ground and leading to extensive damage.
