BC Parks Camping Reservations for 2016March 15, 2016
BC Park’s campsite reservations for 2016 can be made as of March 15, 2016 at 7am PST through the Discover Camping website. While camping season is still a few months away, it’s important to make your reservations soon as many of the province’s most popular campsites are fully booked through the summer months.
There are still many BC Parks throughout the province where campsites are available on a first-come, first serve basis throughout the year, including the popular Garibaldi Lake or Taylor Meadows campsites. Known as Walk-In/Wilderness Camping, you are still required to purchase a Backcountry Camping Permit up to 2-weeks before your arrive at the campsite.
Once again, there have been price increases this year ranging from a few dollars per night for individual campsites to about $20 a night for group campsites. The increases follow price increases in 2015 as BC Parks says that the increased fees are needed to maintain the parks.
If you’re planning on camping in a BC Parks campsite that requires reservations, be sure to make your reservation as soon as possible.
