During the winter, the snow covered mountains around Vancouver offer a great snowshoeing experience. Beginners and families will find the trails offered at the local resorts of Cypress, Grouse, and Seymour to offer a great winter outing while others may prefer to snowshoe either Dog Mountain on Seymour or Hollyburn Mountain on Cypress to a spectacular view of the city on a clear day.
