BC Parks is 100 Years Old

On March 1, 2011, BC Parks turned 100 years old marking the creation of Stratcona Provincial Park, the first provincial park in British Columbia. Over the past century, BC Parks has managed provincial parks, ecological reserves, and recreation areas across the province.

To celebrate, BC Parks is holding a number of events throughout BC, including hiking, nature watching, snowshoeing, tree planting, and learning to cave. The events will take place during 2011 and more information can be found at BC Park's Calendar of Events on their website.
